WATER FED POLE SYSTEMS

De-ionisation Systems

De-ionisation is an effective way to immediately produce pure water, with the added benefit of producing no waste water in the purification process.

Hard water with its high levels of dissolved solids, will consume and wear out the di-resin extremely quickly, but in soft water areas the de-ionisation based system, can with a good supply pressure, be both efficient and fast filling because the system produces 100% product water.

If you have a hard water supply, then you can expect to use the resin in the first vessel far too quickly to make de-ionisation cost effective, with the extra maintenance involved in constantly replacing the di-resin a reverse osmosis based water fed pole system will be a far easier and economical solution for you to use.

De-ionisation

The de-ionisation process involves running water through specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which remove ionised salts from the water. The exchange resins, commonly referred to as "resin beds", can theoretically remove 100% of salts, or ions. The process involves replacing the cations with hydrogen ions and the anions are replaced with hydroxyls. Thus, no ions remain in the produced water. De-ionisation typically does not remove organic, viruses or bacteria, except through "accidental" trapping in the resin.
